With polluted cities now imposing or considering taxes on vehicles operating in central areas, the benefit of fitting exhaust treatment systems to many different types of vehicles is increasing.
Having installed these systems on buses and coaches for many years, R&R have significant experience in fitting emissions reduction equipment from various manufacturers, including HJS.
We have already worked on, or are scheduled to, many different vehicles including excavators for use on the construction of HS2, which we are modifying to be Euro 6 compatible, TX4 taxis and Mercedes Vito vans, to comply with the TfL (Transport for London) regulations and other vans such as VW Transporters for courier companies.
In particular, having vans converted, means not only there is no congestion charge to pay when working in London, and potentially other cities, but also no ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) fees. As a result, the return on investment can be quick with the cost rapidly being recouped.
The latest systems provide a high level of emissions reduction thanks to the improvement in the quality of the parts utilised, particularly the control units. In some cases, these units can provide information to the cloud to allow permanent monitoring of the vehicle’s operation and associated cleanliness.
Radu and our engineers at R&R are industry and manufacturer trained and able to undertake both the installation and then ongoing servicing and maintenance. For further details, including a discussion as to how exhaust emissions technology can be used on your vehicles, please just contact us.
