Many governments are now committed to reducing emissions as part of their plan to reach net zero and help combat climate change. For those in the transport industry retrofitting an exhaust gas after treatment system is a cost-effective way to reduce the emission levels of your buses and coaches.
Installing a diesel exhaust after treatment system reduces harmful exhaust emissions, primarily nitrogen oxide and soot particles. As emissions leave the engine, they undergo exhaust after treatment, which effectively cleans the exhaust gas. The emission gases pass through the after treatment system which consists of filters, catalysts and reactors. These remove harmful particles and convert toxic gases into harmless nitrogen and water vapour, resulting in near zero emissions from the exhaust.
Our team of engineers at R&R have spent years specialising in the retrofitting of bus and coach exhaust after treatment systems. We are partnered with HJS, a leading manufacturer of emission abatement solutions, and are experienced in fitting their advanced SCRT® treatment system. However, our expertise stretches beyond this, and we have experience of working with many different brands and types of exhaust after treatment systems, which positions us as all round experts in this area.
